Fabio Caruso is an Italian theoretical physicist specializing in computational solid-state theory. He earned his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Milan in 2010. After completing his doctoral studies, Dr. Caruso held postdoctoral positions at the University of Milan and the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. In 2014, he joined the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel in Germany, where he currently serves as a professor. Dr. Caruso leads the Computational Solid-State Theory Group, focusing on the development of ab-initio theories and computational approaches to investigate many-body interactions and ultrafast phenomena in condensed matter. His research interests include electronic structure, electron-phonon interactions, and ultrafast dynamics in materials. He has published extensively in these areas, contributing significantly to the understanding of complex material behaviors. Dr. Caruso is also a member of the Computational Sciences Center at Kiel University, collaborating with researchers across various disciplines to advance computational physics. His work continues to influence the field of theoretical physics, particularly in the study of condensed matter systems.
