Our association, SIGN e.V., has joined forces with ITKAM, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany, to organize the 2026 edition of the Italian-German Business Award, the Mercurio Prize, which will take place on May 19, 2026, at the Embassy of Italy in Berlin under the Embassy’s patronage.
The award ceremony will take place at the Embassy of Italy in Berlin and marks a new edition of this long-standing Italian-German business recognition. The event will begin at 6:00 PM, with registration opening at 5:30 PM.
The Mercurio Prize is a historic award presented annually to companies that have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Italian-German market. Since 1999, it has recognized businesses and initiatives of particular significance in the fields of economic and cultural exchange between Italy and Germany.
In addition to the Mercurio Prize itself, special mentions and awards have traditionally been presented. For the 2026 edition, the award categories have been redesigned to reflect the key sectors shaping the Italian-German market today.

The 2026 award categories are:

• Mercurio Prize
• Innovation of the Year
• Startup of the Year
• Italian Excellence of the Year

The Mercurio Prize 2026 jury brings together a distinguished group of representatives from the Italian-German business and institutional network. It includes both professionals who have participated in previous editions and new jurors invited to contribute fresh perspectives to the selection process. Jurors are expected to play an active and engaged role throughout the evaluation. The provisional event program will be made available soon. Attendance is by invitation only!
