Piergiorgio Alotto, born in Genoa in 1968, is a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Padova, specializing in computational electromagnetics, optimization, and multiphysics modeling. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Genoa in 1997 and previously worked at Vector Fields Ltd. in the UK. In 2023, he was appointed Scientific Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Berlin. He has authored numerous research papers, co-authored The Cell Method for Electrical Engineering and Multiphysics Problems, and co-founded Hexadrive Engineering. Alotto is fluent in Italian, English, and German.
