Pier Luigi Belcaro is an industrial risk-analysis specialist, FMEA coordinator, and technical author based in Battenberg, Germany. He holds a master’s degree in economics with a focus on applied mathematics and statistics and has approximately 20 years of experience coordinating Failure Mode and Effects Analysis activities. Earlier in his career, he worked at the University of Venice as a researcher in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, focusing on artificial neural networks and multilayer perceptron models. He later worked as an IT systems engineer and quality manager. Belcaro developed the 9-Object-Model FMEA, a structured methodology designed to improve rigor, consistency, and objectivity in design and process risk analysis.
