Prof. Dr. Marzia Traverso is a distinguished environmental engineer and academic specializing in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and sustainability in the building and transport sectors. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Technical Physics from the University of Palermo. Since June 1, 2017, Prof. Traverso has been a full professor and head of the Institute of Sustainability in Civil Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Prof. Traverso was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Chair of Sustainable Engineering at Technische Universität Berlin, emphasizing Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment and Social LCA.
