Fabrizio Bucci, born on April 14, 1964, in Rome, is an experienced Italian diplomat who assumed the role of Ambassador to Germany in January 2025, succeeding Armando Varricchio. He earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Rome in 1988 and began his diplomatic career in 1992. His assignments have included postings in Cairo (1996–2000), the Permanent Representation to the European Union, Washington, D.C. (2007–2013), and as Head of the Afghanistan Unit in the Directorate General for Political Affairs. In January 2020, he was appointed Ambassador to Albania. Ambassador Bucci has been awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
