Dr. Enrico Domenico Lemma is Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Technology in the Department of Engineering at Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. He holds an MS in Materials Engineering (2014) and a PhD in Materials and Structural Engineering and Nanotechnologies (2018) from the University of Salento. From 2019 to 2022 he served as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, developing DNA-based methods to induce selective cell adhesion on 3D microstructures. His research integrates multi-photon polymerization, 3D microfabrication, mechanobiology, and biomaterials science. He works to couple 3D microfabrication with microfluidics and organ-on-chip platforms, exploring mechanical, chemical, and biological properties of materials for advanced bioengineered systems.
