Prof. Dr. Emanuele Gatti is a renowned Italian researcher and executive in medical technology and translational medicine. After earning a degree in Bioengineering in Milan, he began his career as a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) at the Politecnico di Milano and as an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering. He later transitioned to the industry, contributing to the development of innovative dialysis machines. In 1986 he became General Manager and CEO of Sis-Ter S.p.A., which was acquired in 1989 by the German group Fresenius. Within Fresenius Medical Care, he held increasingly senior roles, ultimately serving as CEO for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, as well as Global Chief Strategist. In 2014, he embarked on a new phase of his career as an Executive Consultant for Healthcare Strategies and Policies. He is also a Guest Professor and Honorary Senator at Danube University Krems in Austria and Honorary Professor at FH Sachsen Anhalt, contributing to biomedical research and innovation.
