Cesare Signorini is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Construction Materials, TU Dresden. His work spans fiber-reinforced and textile-reinforced cementitious composites, with emphasis on durability, thermal stability, impact and blast resistance, and sustainable reinforcement using recycled polymeric and carbon fibers. He contributes to the DFG Research Training Group GRK 2250 on mineral-bonded composites for structural impact safety as group leader, and coauthors more than 50 peer-reviewed studies on composite materials in civil engineering applications. At TU Dresden, he collaborates with civil engineering and materials technology groups, developing coatings and processing routes that improve bond, mechanical performance, and energy dissipation of thin composite systems for retrofitting and protective applications.
