Antonello Monti is Professor and Director of the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems at RWTH Aachen University. He received his M.Sc. and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. After positions at Ansaldo Industria, Politecnico di Milano, and the University of South Carolina, he joined RWTH Aachen in 2008. Since 2019, he has also held an appointment with Fraunhofer FIT, where he contributes to the Center for Digital Energy. His research focuses on complex power systems, power electronics, real-time simulation, digital energy infrastructure, and automation for future energy systems.
