Andrea Fantin is a researcher in materials science and condensed matter physics at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, BAM, in Berlin. His work focuses on experimental materials characterization, crystal structure, local lattice distortions, spectroscopy, diffraction, and the structure-property relations of complex metallic alloys. He is publicly listed by the DFG as an applicant for a project on local-to-average crystal structures and mechanical properties in high-entropy and compositionally complex alloys studied by synchrotron methods. His publications include work on high-entropy alloys, mixed ionic-electronic conducting ceramics, and synchrotron-based materials analysis.
