Andrea Jeber Sfar is an aerospace engineer and Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral researcher at TU Dresden, where he investigates next-generation solar-wind propulsion concepts for deep-space exploration within the EU-funded E-Sailors Doctoral Network. His research focuses on propellantless propulsion technologies combining plasma physics, numerical modeling, and experimental approaches. Before joining TU Dresden, Sfar carried out two international Erasmus+ research appointments: at the Plasma & Space Propulsion team of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he developed magnetic field diagnostics for helicon plasma thrusters (master's thesis); and at the Micro-propulsion and Nanotechnology Laboratory of George Washington University, where he worked on experimental validation of rarefied gas flows under Very Low Earth Orbit conditions. He holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy.
